National Highway Agency (ANA) - Algerie
The project includes the definition at building project level of the layout of 18km of motorway located in a most complex terrain and with significant geotechnical problems. The cross-section of the motorway encompasses two three-lane carriageways with their respective hard shoulders and sepoarated by a central reservation reaching a total platform width of 32m.
Road layout passes mainly through the valley of Oued Louz, which represents the most suitable route between Hacine and Mascara. However, it is inevitable that the route comes into contact with numerous dells, ravines and rivers (over 100) making it necessary to build several structures and transversal drainage crossings. Consequently there are 12 bridges and a 2km long viaduct in the vicinity of Chalet Beloye. The latter viaduct also has a sand pile escape ramp.
