The new Les Foies infant and primary school is to be constructed on part of the EQ3 plot of the Les Foies Sector. This is to be a newly built school centred on a basic programme: 3I + 6P, three infant classrooms, six primary classrooms, a physical education-sports area and school canteen, with options for extension. Total built area is 2.896,81 m2, to be developed on a plot measuring 7.242,79 m2.

WORK DESCRIPTION

The building is composed of two parallel structures aligned with the roadway. The structure closest to the thoroughfare stands one story high and houses the main entrance and the infant classrooms and the second structure houses the primary classrooms, all of which are interspersed by east-west facing playgrounds that benefit from frequent warm winds.

Building design and orientation aim to be energy efficient. Natural ventilation and permanent solar systems have been included.
