Environmental adaptation of \"Els Estanys de Almenara\".<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

CPS provided technical assistance to the construction management of the environmental adaptation project, nature classroom and visitor center of the Almenara marsh. The action is developed in Els Estanys de Almenara, an emblematic place of the Marjal de Almenara, an area included in the Natura 2000 Network and its main objective is the environmental restitution of an area of about 10 ha, which were artificially drained for years for intensive agricultural use. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The environmental recovery of the enclave of “Els Estanys” located in the Marjal de Almenara was developed in an environment of great ecological and landscape value where human activity, mainly agricultural, had caused a significant reduction of its surface and a slow degradation during the last decades, in order to improve its physical conditions, preserve its ecological values and make them known among the local population.<\/p>\n

The fragility of the existing flora and fauna species, together with the numerous catalogued habitats of interest in this wetland area have meant that, during the execution phase, they have had to withstand added pressure, having required strict control and surveillance by the technical assistance to achieve the objectives of the project and allow the correct future ecological functioning of “Els Estanys” of Almenara.<\/p>\n

The planned actions, aimed at the restitution of the marshland habitats and their educational use, in a controlled manner, are summarized in the following tasks:<\/p>\n
