El Salvador’s Mobility Management System (SIGEMOV)

CPS, in consortium, continues with the supervision of the design and installation of the Mobility Management System (SIGEMOV) of El Salvador that the Government of El Salvador is implementing with the Fondo de Conservación Vial (FOVIAL) and the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation (MOPT) of El Salvador. The project aims to modernize and centralize 350 signalized intersections and integrate 50 new ones.

The new traffic light system will be adaptive and responsive, and will also feature automatic accident detection through video analysis, traffic monitoring through Bluetooth antennas, traffic enforcement system, dynamic vehicle weight control, variable messaging panels and a control center that integrates the entire system.
