CPS continues with emergency bridge repair works on CV-50 (Cheste)
The Consellería de Medio Ambiente, Infraestructuras y Territorio of the Generalitat Valenciana has trusted in CPS to carry out the site management and health and safety coordination services for the emergency repair works of the bridges located at kilometer points 74 and 76 of the CV-50 in Cheste, severely affected by the DANA of last October 29th.
Among the actions carried out were the restoration of the bridge at KP 74+000, including the construction of a temporary floodable speed bump detour after the removal of the military structure initially installed by the UME. This detour, 480 meters long and with two lanes, has significantly improved traffic flow in the area while progress is being made on the reconstruction of the original bridge.
The work of CPS also includes the supervision of the construction project, which includes geotechnical, topographical, hydrogeological, hydraulic and structural studies, as well as the repair of the bridge deck, the construction of a protective breakwater, the cleaning of the riverbed, the reinforcement of the roadbed and the replacement of affected services.
As for the bridge located at KP 76+200, a detour with alternative traffic was installed and subsequent works were carried out to replace the access embankments, build a protective breakwater, replace the barrier and safety parapet, clean the riverbed, reinforce the roadbed and replace the affected services.
Thanks to these interventions, the circulation at this point of the CV-50 has been completely restored without restrictions.
From CPS we appreciate the trust placed by the Generalitat Valenciana in our company to carry out these important emergency works, essential to restore connectivity in the municipality of Cheste.
