Oversight of the Renovation of the Yurimaguas Airfield (Alto Amazonas, Peru)

CPS Peru, as part of a consortium, is overseeing the execution of the project to repair the runway, aircraft apron, taxiway, runway shoulders and strip, drainage system, and perimeter fence at the Yurimaguas Aerodrome. The project is being carried out in the district of Yurimaguas, in the province of Alto Amazonas, within the Peruvian department of Loreto.

The project, sponsored by Peru’s Ministry of Transport and Communications, covers the airfield’s movement area and its related components. The project’s objectives include the rehabilitation of the pavement, the perimeter fence, and the drainage system, as well as the runway shoulders and the perimeter safety road. With these improvements, the airfield will be able to operate at full capacity, enhancing the technical and operational conditions for air transport in the region.

The project is in its initial phase, focused on preliminary work, earthworks, and drainage structures. Among other activities, our team is overseeing the layout and staking out of the site and verifying the excavation levels for the reinforced concrete culvert in the Hatun Creek, as well as the excavation of the channel and sewer system and the removal of excess material.

In the coming months, our team will continue to oversee every phase of the construction project until the airfield is fully operational.
