Analysis and Mapping of Renewable Energy Generation Installations in the Spanish Port System

CPS will carry out the analysis and mapping of present and future renewable energy generation Installations in the ports of the Spanish port system. This work, promoted within the framework of the State-owned Port System -which integrates 46 Ports of General Interest and 28 Port Authorities under the coordination of Puertos del Estado- aims to obtain a clear and updated vision of the renewable energy potential in the port environment for the period 2026-2035.

The project will include the identification and study of existing or planned Installations, covering technologies such as solar photovoltaic, onshore and offshore wind, tidal, green hydrogen production and biomass. For each port, the location of these Installations will be analyzed, both in land areas -such as port decks or floors- and in marine areas, including docks and offshore structures. In addition, essential technical aspects will be reviewed, such as the type of grid connection or self-consumption, installed power, estimated production and project status.

The work will incorporate graphic and georeferenced material that will allow a clear visualization of the energy situation of each port. This information will be key to support future strategic decisions and contribute to progress towards a more sustainable and efficient port model.
