Contract awarded for the renovation project of level crossings and detours on Metrovalencia line 1

Last April, the joint venture formed by CPS INFRAESTRUCTURAS and NOVOTEC was awarded the contract for the drafting of the “Construction Project for the renovation of turnouts and level crossings of the Valencia Sud-Villanueva de Castellón section of Metrovalencia line 1” for Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana.

The purpose of the project is to define and assess the actions to be carried out to completely renovate and modernize Metrovalencia line 1 in the section between Paiporta and Villanueva de Castellón, fundamentally resolving the current deterioration of the track elements, such as: turnouts at station heads, escapes and molehills, as well as level crossings, crosswalks and crossings between platforms, increasing safety on the line by transforming the crosswalks to class 4.
