COSAC I System Consulting Studies Completed

The consultancy studies for the Expansion of the Southern Section of COSAC I and the Improvement of the Pedestrian Accessibility of the Metropolitano Stations in Lima, Peru, developed by CPS Spain and CPS Peru, have been completed.
The studies conclude in an extension of the Metropolitano BRT corridor of 2 km in length, with three new stations, where the bus maintains its reserved lane and right-of-way. In addition, new pedestrian areas, bicycle lanes and restrictions on road traffic are proposed to create a more walkable and accessible environment with BRT at the center of a more sustainable mobility.
On the other hand, after carrying out a study of the accessibility conditions of the pedestrian routes in the surroundings of 33 COSAC stations, as well as inside the stations themselves, the following have been designed improvement actions that guarantee the pedestrian accessibility to these stations, providing a means of transportation more inclusive and secure in the city.
