CPS Air Conditioning System Refurbishment

CPS has carried out a refurbishment of part of its air conditioning system at its head office in Valencia. The replaced equipment had been in operation for more than 30 years and was causing various problems, including energy consumption in the office and continuous corrective maintenance.

Therefore, within the framework of the Energy Rehabilitation Grants for Existing Buildings 2020 (PREE) program, CPS has carried out the installation of a new air conditioning system with Variable Refrigerant Volume VRV technology with high coefficient of performance (COP).

The project under the Program for the Energy Rehabilitation of Existing Buildings (PREE), within the framework of the Spain’s Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Planis financed by the Instituto Valenciano de la Competitividad Empresarial (IVACE) (Valencian Institute for Business Competitiveness) and the Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (IDAE) and co-financed by the European Union – NextGenerationEU, seeks to boost the sustainability of existing buildings through actions ranging from changes in the thermal envelope or renewable electricity generation for self-consumption and the incorporation of regulation and control technologies.
