CPS begins technical assistance to the Valencia Metropolitan Transport Authority (ATMV) on public passenger transport issues
CPS has recently started the support and technical support service to the Metropolitan Transport Authority of Valencia (ATMV) for the next two years on issues related to public passenger transport in the Metropolitan Area of Valencia, providing a team consisting of a specialist in transport economics, a specialist in ITS systems and technologies and a specialist in transport infrastructure planning and services, who will be the leaders, drafters and responsible for the various reports and studies.
The purpose of the contract is to carry out works, studies and reports related to mobility and the transport system in the Metropolitan Area of Valencia to promote an integrated, sustainable and modern transport system with an integrated fare policy (EMT-Metro-Metrobus-Renfe Cercanías) that favors the modal shift from private vehicles to public transport in favor of greater efficiency and sustainability.

Other work to be performed by CPS during the course of the contract includes the following:
- Drafting of the MTAV’s Multi-year Management Plan 2019-2023 and the Entity’s Annual Action Plans.
- Management Plan Follow-Up Reports.
- Analysis and diagnosis of mobility in the metropolitan area and the interconnection between the different existing transportation systems.
- Pilot projects and plans related to sustainable mobility.
- Metropolitan area transportation model.
- Advice for the definition of the tariff policy model and the calculation of compensation for each transport operator.
- Dissemination and promotion of sustainable mobility in the Valencia Metropolitan Area.
