Excélsior – Cerro de Pasco landfill closure plan

CPS Sucursal Perú will perform the construction supervision consulting services for Activos Mineros S.A.C., for the work of the Closure Plan of the Excélsior Deposit in the city of Cerro de Pasco.

Following the award of this contract, CPS INFRAESTRUCTURAS, MOBILIDAD Y MEDIO AMBIENTESUCURSAL PERU in consortium with the company INGENIEROS MARE NOSTRUM, will provide consulting services for the supervision of the Excélsior Landfill Closure Plan in the city of Cerro de Pasco, district of Simón Bolívar.

CPS INGENIEROS will develop the necessary supervision works to ensure the correct execution of the closure works for the Excélsior waste dump, which includes the main items such as: Preliminary Works, Physical Stability, Hydrological Stability, Cover and Revegetation, Irrigation System and Protection Fence.

The Excélsior Tailings Deposit received mining waste from the Raúl Rojas open pit in Cerro de Pasco from 1956 to 2000, accumulating approximately 50 million tons in an area of approximately 69 ha.
