Navarra’s Gauging Plan 2025-2028

CPS starts a new project: the execution of the Navarre Gauging Plan 2025-2028, a project that aims to know in depth the behavior of traffic on the road network of the Comunidad Foral.

Over the next four years, we will carry out a precise programming of fieldwork, both temporally and geographically. We will collect and process key information on traffic intensity and characteristics, differentiating vehicle types and analyzing their distribution over time and territory.

The plan includes the preparation of monthly reports, annual reports and annual reports, as well as updated maps showing the evolution of light and heavy traffic. Specific studies will also be carried out at the local level, which will allow us to complement the general data with more detailed analyses. In addition, the technical data sheets of the gauging stations will be updated, new technologies such as automatic counters and video cameras will be incorporated, and real-time data will be published in those stations that allow it.

Data collection will be carried out in different types of stations: permanent, semi-permanent, primary and coverage, with methodologies adapted to each case. This will allow us to obtain an accurate, continuous and representative image of the state of traffic in Navarra.
