Connection Highway to the Port of Oran
CPSas leader of a Spanish-Algerian consortium, supervises and validates both the project and the execution of the works for the Oran Port Connection Highway (fast-track).
The works consist of the construction of a dual carriageway with three lanes in each of them and nine kilometers long. It includes the construction of a 1,760 m embankment dam with three layers of breakwater and a mantle made of Antifer type BCR concrete blocks of 26 Tm each, the construction of two tunnels with two tubes each of 95 m2 of section with a cumulative length of 5,200 m and also the construction of a 720 m long viaduct with piers up to 40 m high.
The great difficulty of the works has been caused by the geological disposition of the terrain, basically sandstones on marls that have generated landslides that have forced to act with “butées”, protection screens embedded in the marls as well as slope bolting.
