Information Management in Traffic Management Centers

CPS has been present since 2002 within consultancy contracts for the DGT, preparing specialized studies and reports in the Traffic Management Centers that it has deployed in Spain. He has been working uninterruptedly at the Valencia CGT since 2002, at the Zaragoza CGT since 2005, and at different stages at the Madrid, Valladolid, Malaga and Seville CGTs.

At present, CPS is carrying out these works in the CGT of Levante (Valencia), Pirineos-Valle del Ebro (Zaragoza), Suroeste (Seville) and since 2021 it is developing again the service contract for the elaboration of studies and technical reports related to mobility, ITS systems and information management of the Traffic Management Center of Zona Centro (Madrid), thus collaborating with the DGT in the management of the different systems for data collection, information and traffic control.

The description of the services corresponds to the six contracts executed for the support to the management of the traffic contract centers, due to the fact that their activities have consisted of similar tasks with the purpose of elaborating studies and projects in the scope of management of the Spanish General Traffic Directorate; in the scope of action of the Madrid, Levante (Valencia), Norte (Valladolid), Pirineos-Valle del Ebro (Zaragoza), Sureste (Málaga) and Suroeste (Sevilla) Management Centers:

Reports and studies related to information management in the area of action of the road network of each management center:
- Analysis and evolution of speeds, traffic intensities and gauges
- Traffic Management and Special Operations
- Technical Studies and Road Safety Audits
- Study on traffic conditions
- Accident rate studies and possible corrective measures to be implemented
- Traffic restrictions analysis based on traffic and accident rates
- Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)
- Traffic Studies and Demand Modeling, etc.
2009-2012 Cinemometer Installation Plan and Dynamic Signaling of DGT Cinemometers
Development of specific software (database and applications) for data storage and exploitation
of: road accidents, traffic parameters (intensities, speeds, percentage of heavy vehicles),
management of cooperative systems, travel times, etc.
