Intersecretarial Integration and Operation of ITS Solutions in Mexico

CPS provided consulting services for the preparation of the National Study for the Integration and Intersecretarial Operation of ITS Solutions in the areas of Security and Development.

The study included the reception and analysis of the following information from more than 30 stakeholders, and the subsequent conceptual design of the system for the management and use of the information related to the ITS technologies implemented in the road infrastructure, which could be shared with other organizations or users.

Tasks performed:

  • Identification of stakeholders involved in the use and management of information obtained through ITS systems implemented in the road infrastructure.
  • Design of a protocol for stakeholder analysis to obtain information about the type of information they handle and other information they may need.
  • Design of a WEB platform with J2EE technology as a complement to the protocol to obtain information from the stakeholders and make the work more dynamic.
  • Summary and outline with the characteristics of the actors detected and the possible information flows between them.
  • Analysis of the potential of existing information structures based on information provided by stakeholders about their work and existing databases.
  • Analysis of the potential of ITS systems implemented and in the process of implementation in the national road network.
  • Conceptual design of the information system indicating the existing and future databases and the information flows and exchanges that should occur when sharing information.
  • Preparation of a Final Executive Report covering all the above points as a summary.
