Improvement of the Operation and Exploitation of the Artxanda Tunnels Toll System.
CPS carried out the drafting of the preliminary civil works project for the Improvement of the Operation and Exploitation of the Artxanda Tunnels Toll, Bilbao, with the aim of solving the inefficiencies of the Artxanda Tunnels toll by optimizing and modernizing both the means of payment and the equipment and processes.
As part of the work carried out, the definition and assessment of the equipment necessary for the implementation of a FreeFlow electronic toll system in the Artxanda tunnels toll system was carried out in order to solve inefficiencies, optimizing and modernizing the means of payment, equipment and processes.
Other tasks performed:
- Traffic Study.
- Collection analysis.
- Detection of inefficiencies in the current system.
- Operating and maintenance cost analysis.
- Economic and financial study of the Artxanda tunnels toll road.
- Design of the new lane configuration, including Free Flow tolling.
- Definition of technical specifications, including Free Flow tolls.
- Elaboration of descriptive plans of the actions, equipment and phases to carry them out.
