Road Safety on the Extremadura Regional Government Roads Network
CPS, carries out for the Department of Mobility, Transport and Housing of the Regional Government of Extremadura, the technical assistance for the management of road safety in the road network of the Regional Government of Extremadura.
The main objective of the project is to significantly reduce the number and severity of traffic accidents on the roads of the Junta de Extremadura. In addition, to halve the number of serious injuries by 2023 compared to the 2020 level, while maintaining the goal of reducing fatalities to zero from the start of the project to 2050.
Work to be performed:
- Accident rate analysis of the network based on data supplied by the General Directorate of Traffic.
- Identification and study of Accident Concentration Sections and High Potential Improvement Sections of roads in operation.
- Inspection and analysis of all fatal accidents occurring in the network.
- Conducting Road Safety Inspections and Audits.
- Analysis, development and implementation of a computerized tool for the management of the contract’s procedures and/or tasks.
