Vertical and Horizontal Traffic Signaling in Valencia

CPS carried out the control of the correct execution of the maintenance works and new placement of vertical and horizontal traffic signaling, beaconing, containment and protection elements on the roads and paths of the municipality of Valencia.

Tasks performed:

Review of the execution of the works.
Quality control of materials.
Control of the invoicing of work orders for works.
Design and maintenance of the computer application in which they are integrated:
- Section file management,
- Control and registration of the activities of the contractor companies, integrated with a GIS application consisting of a georeferenced database of the signaling, beaconing, containment and protection elements of the municipality, linked to their maintenance and installation orders.
Detection of breakdowns and incidents in the state of conservation and location of vertical and horizontal traffic signaling throughout the municipality.

Issuance of work orders for contractor companies, under the supervision of municipal technicians.
Technical support, both in the field and in the office, to the administrative activity of the section, in:
- Files of responses to requests from individuals,
- Coordination with other sections or administrative services regarding the vertical and horizontal signaling of municipal roads.
Drafting of projects for new implementation and modification of signaling, beaconing, containment and pedestrian protection elements.
Coordination of health and safety during the execution of the works, with special attention to works on roads with high traffic intensity and at night.
