Warehouse closure plan Excélsior

The CPS Peru team continues its supervision work in the restitution of the environmental liabilities of the Excélsior Mine, where Activos Mineros is carrying out the most important environmental remediation in Peru.

The project, with a budget of more than 150 million nuevos soles, is 75.4% complete. It is worth mentioning the placement of more than 10,000 square meters of geomembranes and geotextile, as well as the construction of retaining walls and the revegetation of the affected area.

This large project will benefit more than 9,000 inhabitants of the communities of Champamarca and Quiulacocha, in Cerro de Pasco.
