Update of the Comprehensive Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan of Guayaquil Canton.

CPS, in consortium, will carry out the Update of the Comprehensive Plan for Sustainable Urban Mobility (PIMUS) of Guayaquil Canton , which was executed and developed between 2013 and 2019.

The PIMUS update aims to provide the city with planning tools for the short, medium and long term, proposing measures, policies and projects in accordance with the Guayaquil Land Use and Development Plan that promote multimodal transportation, recovery of public spaces, road safety and the reduction of polluting emissions through the promotion of sustainable public transportation systems and urban logistics. The PIMUS should also address three strategic objectives: integrate, improve and protect all components of urban mobility in the canton of Guayaquil.

The PIMUS update will cover the 4,453.62 km² that make up the Guayaquil canton. In addition, it will directly benefit more than 2.7 million inhabitants and indirectly more than 13 million national tourists who spend the night in the Guayaquil canton every year.
