CPS Colombia is awarded in Bogota the supervision of the renovation of the Can sub-basin interceptor.

The Empresa de Acueducto, Alcantarillado y Aseo de Bogotá (Bogota Water, Sewage and Sanitation Company) has awarded by public bidding the supervision of the renovation of the CAN interceptor to the CYC CAN consortium, formed by CPS Infraestructura Movilidad y Medio Ambiente S.L. Sucursal Colombia, among others.

The contract includes technical, administrative, legal, accounting, financial, environmental and social auditing. The renovation will take place through the construction of a reinforcement interceptor, which will increase the hydraulic capacity of the CAN sub-basin, in the districts of Teusaquillo and Engativá, in the Capital District of Bogotá. Work is expected to begin in August or September 2018 and will last 19 months, with completion scheduled for early 2020.

CPS Colombia has experience working with Acueducto de Bogotá; in June 2018 it successfully resolved the interventory contract for the construction of the Tunjuelo-Canoas interceptor connection works with the emergency tunnel and the extraction of tunnel boring machines 70 meters deep.
