CPS Participates in the 5th Spanish Smart Roads Conference

On October 13 and 14 , the 5th Spanish Smart Roads Congress was held in Madrid , organized by the Spanish Road Association, with this year’s theme being: “Roads Just a Click Away.”

At this event, which brought together experts and specialists from the public sector, technology companies, and infrastructure managers, participants discussed the challenges and opportunities of future mobility. Over the course of two days, topics addressed included, among others, the digitization of roads, data spaces, and advanced mobility management using AI and big data; innovative services that address road safety issues, autonomous mobility, and physical and virtual infrastructure that help create safer, greener, and more connected roads.

In CPS , we sponsored the conference, and our team also presented two papers:

“The Value of Information for Advanced Urban Mobility Management,” by Jose Luis Faubel Cava; and “Big Data Platform for Intelligent Data Analysis in Security,” by Javier Tarriño Ortiz.

Both presentations were based on an idea that guides much of our work: data is only useful if it is turned into information that can be used to make decisions.
