CEIP Joanot Martorell is a center with a basic program of six kindergarten classrooms, twelve primary classrooms, an extra primary classroom, sports area-gymnasium and dining room, with the possibility of expansion. This program will be developed on a 10,922.22^m2 plot of land in Xeraco and will have a total built area of 10,477.11^m2.

For the future CEIP, an “L” shaped building is projected, well adjusted to the needs of use and available space. Special attention has been paid to the following aspects in the solution:

• Accesses designed for the facade facing the main street and the future pedestrian road.
• Clear zoning of the center, personalizing the early childhood education area, the primary school area and the common areas.
• Classroom orientation.
• Correct grouping of enclosures according to their use.
• Good climatic response.

This is why a volume with a great compactness is projected with the aim of reducing the building envelope to the maximum, this also allows the program to be organized in such a way that the routes and rooms are optimized to the maximum. On the other hand, the design of the building and its orientation is intended to be as energy efficient as possible, incorporating natural ventilation and fixed solar control systems.
