New State Public Library in Malaga
CPS is drafting the projects for the installations of the future State Public Library in Malaga, which will become an important instrument for the promotion of the city’s culture.
The Convent of San Agustín, founded in the 16th century and located in the historic center of Málaga, will be refurbished and restored to house the city’s new State Public Library. The future library will have a floor area of 5,345m² and two entrances: a private entrance from San Agustín Street (internal management, administration and library services) and a public entrance from Pedro de Toledo Street for all users.
The project will have to pay special attention to the design of the installations and their passageways between floors, since most of the ceilings and walls are protected due to their uniqueness.
The facilities to be designed include:
- Medium voltage electrical installation, with subscriber Switching Center and Transformer Subscriber Transformer Substation.
- Low-voltage electrical installation, with mains supply, power unit and UPS.
- Lighting.
- Separate sewage system.
- Supply of drinking water and domestic hot water (DHW).
- Air conditioning and ventilation, with special emphasis on the solution to be considered in the central cloister area.
- Fire protection: detection and extinction.
- Telecommunications installation.
- Installation control system.
