Speed Control on National Highways in Peru
CPS Peru carried out the consultancy service for the Implementation of the Speed Enforcement Service on Peruvian National Highways with the main objective of deploying a technological deployment of cinemometers and thus assisting in the enforcement of speeding.
As part of the work carried out by the consultancy, 27,155.217 kilometers were studied in 136 national roads in Peru. In addition, it was proposed to install 397 fixed speedometers, 122 mobile speedometers and 34 section speedometers.
Other tasks performed:
- International state of the art in the control of excessive speed on highways.
- Technical study of the technological systems to be implemented.
- Conclusions on the implementation and management model of a speed enforcement system on national highways.
- Characterization of a public investment project in all its aspects.
- Proposal for modification of the legal framework.
- Cost-benefit analysis and development of the economic-financial model for the speed control service on national highways.
