Traffic reopened on the bridge of the CV-50 in the municipality of Cheste
We are happy to share that the CV-50 bridge in the municipality of Cheste, where the CPS team has carried out the site management and health and safety coordination, is fully operational again after the severe damage suffered by the DANA.
This recovery represents a significant improvement in the mobility of the surroundings and in the accesses to the municipality. The reconstruction has been carried out in three phases:
– Installation of a military bridge that allowed the connection to be urgently re-established.
– Construction of a 480-meter-long, two-lane, temporary floodable speed bump crossing.
– Definitive recovery of the original bridge, incorporating a 36-meter beam and 190 tons of reinforced concrete, which is a milestone in Valencian civil works.
This last phase has increased the hydraulic capacity of the bridge, thus improving the safety and resistance of the infrastructure to extreme weather events.
