Urban Renaturalization of Bogota, Colombia

At CPS we continue to contribute to the transformation of cities, this time in Bogota. In consortium, we will carry out for the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) the preparation of the Urban Renaturalization Plan (PRU) and the Green Urban Renewal Strategy (ERUV) for the city. This project will last eight months and seeks to strengthen climate action in the Colombian capital through solutions that start from nature and focus on people’s well-being.
During this time, from CPS we will develop technical tools and train key actors to implement urban renaturation interventions. These actions include transforming impervious surfaces into biodiverse green areas, improving ecological connectivity and enhancing the quality of public space.
We will also design pilot projects in specific areas of the city, which will allow us to put these ideas into practice and evaluate their impact on the urban environment. Our work will include socialization processes, technical advice and specialized support in green infrastructure and urban sustainability. This project represents a new opportunity to apply our experience in urban planning with a sustainable approach, contributing to the creation of cities that are more resilient, healthy and connected to their natural environment.
