Alberto Tortajada Public Special Education Center

Alberto Tortajada Public Special Education Center

CPS, in joint venture, has drawn up the construction project for the new Alberto Tortajada Public Special Education Center, with the aim of being a plural place that respects diversity in all its manifestations, where students can feel that they are offered confidence, security and respect by the people who attend them. As well as offering all the necessary resources to provide the highest possible quality of life to schoolchildren and their families.

The building is proposed as a place to stimulate communication skills, favoring their use in all contexts of daily life and adapting the environment in a comprehensible way, so as to facilitate the acquisition of skills, abilities, knowledge and values more relevant to their daily life, enhancing their integral development and participation in society.

The building is designed as a single-story cloister-type building, with the aim of achieving an optimal functioning of the center by solving the circulations in a clear, simple and effective way, thus avoiding labyrinthine routes that would cause orientation problems for the students and also for the control of the students by the teaching staff. The total built area of the new CEEP will be 3,031.26m2 and it will be built on a 10,031m2 plot.
