Fontcalet Penitentiary Center

CPS carried out the drafting of the facilities project for the construction of a new kitchen with the standards of a type of center and with a loading dock area that can serve both the kitchen and the current workshops of the Fontcalet Penitentiary Center.

Fontcalet Penitentiary Kitchen

The current kitchen building of the Alicante Penitentiary Center in Fontcalent has serious deficiencies and shortcomings, in addition to not being adapted to the typology of a type of center.

Therefore, a new kitchen is planned in a completely new and isolated building, intended exclusively for this use. The new kitchen building has a usable area of 942.33^m2 and a surface area of 1220.72^m2 of outdoor spaces, such as the dock and the truck yard.

Facilities included in the project:

Separate interior sewage system, stainless steel piping for very high temperature drains, grease separator and exterior drainage.
Drinking water supply with decalcified water.
DHW production by means of aerothermal equipment with refrigerant R744 (CO2), storage and recirculation system.
Industrial refrigeration installation for cold rooms and food preparation areas. Refrigerated rooms are available at high temperature (12ºC), medium temperature (0ºC) and low temperature (-20ºC).
VRV air conditioning in the staff areas outside the kitchen areas.
Ventilation by means of extraction boxes at the cooking points. There are also air supply boxes with a flow rate 25% lower than the extraction, so that the cooking space is kept in negative pressure.
Natural ventilation of the kitchen as it has a gas installation.
Air supply in personnel areas outside kitchen areas.
Air extraction in toilets and changing rooms.
Connection to the existing Medium Voltage Underground Line in the center and new Transformer Substation.
Low voltage installation, with mains supply and group. The generator set is placed new and exclusively for the operation of the kitchen. A general low voltage switchboard and secondary switchboards by zones are installed, according to the required power.
Interior and exterior lighting.
Photovoltaic solar installation.
New surface propane tank in the vicinity of the kitchen.
Indoor propane gas installation, with gas leakage control centers.
Fire protection. Extinguishing by means of fire extinguishers, fire extinguishers in warehouses and automatic extinguishing system in kitchen hoods. Detection by means of optical and thermal detectors, aspiration detection, push buttons, propane gas detectors, gas central and fire central.
Telecommunications installation with new rack for kitchen, PA and intercom.
Indoor and outdoor security and CCTV installation.
